Conversion to Infinity
Classic Collectors Insurance is now part of Infinity Insurance Companies
In March of 2003, Infinity Property and Casualty Company (Infinity) was created as a result of the spin off of personal lines
subsidiaries formerly owned by American Financial Group.
Classic Collectors, a leader in collectible auto insurance for over 10 years, and formerly part of Great American Insurance, is
proud to now be part of Infinity Insurance Company.
Infinity is an “A” rated auto insurance specialist listed on the NASDAQ exchange under symbol IPCC. Find out more about Infinity at: www.infinityauto.com
The following is a quick reference guide to:
- A new producer agreement reflecting
our affiliation with Infinity has been mailed to current producers. If you have not
received the contract, please call our Licensing Department at
1-800-258-8915.
- Your new producer code was provided on
your new agency contract. Call our customer service unit at 1-800-252-5233 if
you have questions.
- Until the conversion from Great American to Infinity is complete, you will be
receiving two commission checks for
your Classic Collectors policies.
We want to make the transition smooth for our producers and customers alike and
reinforce that Classic Collectors remains your best choice for your collectible
auto insurance business.
We will be converting all Great American Classic Collectors policyholders at their
renewal to Infinity paper, systems, and servicing.
60 Days Prior to Renewal:
Initial customer notifications advising of the change to Infinity are mailed.
45 Days Prior to Renewal:
Customers will receive a renewal offer summarizing their coverages, premiums, vehicles
insured, and their annual premium. A
policy invoice will also be included with the renewal offer.
Ø
Unlike Great American, the new Infinity policy and
ID cards will not be issued until payment is received.
Ø
To continue coverage uninterrupted, payment must be
received by the renewal effective date.
Q: Will I receive copies of the renewal offers to our customers?
A: Yes, you will receive copies of renewal offer mailings and a full policy upon
payment. You will receive only the declarations and form revisions at subsequent renewals.
Q: Any change in your staff?
A: No, we have the same dedicated service and claims teams at the same address and phone number!
Q: Will my customers notice any changes?
A: Several changes and improvements will be noticeable to your customers:
- Renewal policies will be mailed upon receipt of payment. Our policy output also looks a
bit different but coverages and pricing remain essentially the same. The 7 digit policy number will remain the
same (the 3 digit prefix changes from “AVP” to “454”).
- We will be introducing the Infinity Logo on our correspondence and website.
- To keep up with the rapidly appreciating values, we have nominally increased selected
vehicle values at renewal, which will result in a slight premium increase
(generally under 3% of the annual premium).
